Reformatting the Border: Bodies, Mobility, and Mediation
Location: Room 202, Rogers Communication Centre
Prof. Latham considers how we might rethink the emerging data regime at the border as it bears on mobility, insecurity and migrant subjectivities and presence within. The relationship between bodies, databases, and identities are considered in an exploration of a new ethics of mobility centred around the possibilities of mediated passage.
Robert Latham is an Associate Professor in the York Department of Political Science and Director of the York Center for International and Security Studies.
